We are citizens who believe in the Beaconsfield Library and its services and who want to ensure that resources are available to meet Beaconsfield's needs. The Friends of the Beaconsfield Library is a volunteer-driven organization that provides support to our community library.
-We promote and raise awareness of the library’s services.
-We advocate on behalf of the library.
-We raise funds to enhance the library environment and programs.
-We sponsor programs such as Friday Family Films, Teen Movie Nights, and a variety of lectures.
-We recently purchased an LED projector and the license which permits the Library to show movies.
-We publish a newsletter twice a year.
-We organize a sale of used books each October and the “Friends” get a sneak preview and sale with refreshments.
The Friends were founded in 2001 and in 2002 we received our official status as a registered non-profit charity. Active members receive advance notification of all activities undertaken by the Friends of the Beaconsfield Library. A newsletter is published twice a year.
