We are citizens who believe in the Beaconsfield Library and its services and who want to ensure that resources are available to meet Beaconsfield's needs. The Library is a vibrant centre of the community with:
• 10,500 members
• 15,000 reference questions per year
• 186,000 items circulated annually
We advocate on behalf of the Library by voicing the concerns of the community.
We fundraise to support needs that are not attainable through Library funds.
Recent contributions by the Friends include:
• AV equipment
• Library materials
• Conference funding
The Friends were founded in 2001 and in 2002 we received our official status as a registered non-profit charity. Active members receive advance notification of all activities undertaken by the Friends of the Beaconsfield Library. A newsletter is published twice a year.
