Who Are We?
We are a volunteer-driven non-profit organization that:
- Raises funds through the book sales and memberships to enhance the library environment and its programs
- Buys equipment for the library and contributes financially for some of its activities
- Contributes to the summer reading club
- Publishes a quarterly newsletter
- Sponsors authors' visit to local schools
- Host an annual book sale
Our Activities
- We collect used books donations from Beaconsfield citizens (please contact us ([email protected]) if you wish to make a donation)
- We organize the yearly used book sale in September and October (the dates are announced in the Contact magazine and on the city's electronic boards)
- We are present at some of the city's events (e.g. the Artisans' Fair, the Grand Marche, etc.)
- We are a member of FOCAL, an organization of Friends of Canadian Libraries
- We publish a quarterly newsletter for our members
- We provide financial support the Library for activities, authors' visits or equipment
